While watching the season 5 DVD of Deep Space Nine, my brother-in-law Russell called Dr. Bashir namby-pamby. At times, I’ve used this term myself, believing it to be synonymous to “sissy”. While not completely incorrect, the full definition and etymology of the term is quite interesting.
